I'm not gonna be able to do it!

ALL I was doing was looking at the Lifeteen schedule. Thats all. And I saw the one at the end called "Going Forth".....and of course the description is say goodbye to the seniors, etc.....and I just GLANCED at it! And got tears in my eyes! Most of them arent even going more than a few hours away to school! I am gonna need Gods help with this alot.....And besides I will get to see them ALL SUMMER with YES and Steubie and etc etc....so I dont know what my problem is! God help me please, I dont know why it is bothering me so much!

Good Morning!

God has blessed us with beautiful snow!!!!!!

Babies are perfect

Walking the March route yesterday there were blown up pictures of parts of aborted babies. They had their tiny arms on coins, and their hands were so PERFECT! they were tiny tiny teeny tiny versions of my own hands and your own hands. They had fingernails. That made me think of the movie Juno, where an abortion protester, one of Junos friends, is outside the clinic, and before Juno goes in her friend simply tells her "your baby has fingernails." Juno is inside the clinic and is overwhelmed by people drumming nails on the table, biting their nails, everything fingernail related, then she leaves the clinic and makes the choice to put her baby up for adoption.

Also, I couldnt get a tshirt on the March route but I found a great site with lots of prolife tees.....LiveOffensivley.com
I ordered the Abortion is Selfish one and the Cupcakes for Life one. My mom got the Mother Teresa Pray for Peace one;-)

Juno Bill

I think this is the best idea ever. One of the Ohio representatvies the the March said something about introducing a Juno Bill to have taxpayers money give funds to women to carry out a pregnancy. (for those of you who havent seen the movie Juno, thats what this bill would be named after!)

lifeteen tomorrow;-)

i am so excited!!!! we are watching the movie "bella". i love that movie i have seen it twice!!!!!!

can you tell I am excited? I can't wait for this new little blessing to be added to my family....and if it is a girl, it will make a tie on my moms side, 3 girls 3 boys....but if it is a boy, my sister and I will be outnumbered, probably forever! Girls dominate my dads side, 6-2 LOL!!!!! When he or she is born I will make a special post! Which will be made late tonight or tomorrow. My aunt is going in tonight, but late-ish like 9 or so, so probably no baby until early tomorrow morning! At least its not much longer to keep guessing if it is a boy or girl....I have tried everything to get them to spill....no such luck!!!!

Prince Caspian/Rah Rah!

WONDERFUL movie, great graphics!!!!!! it was sad at the end....it oddly reminded me of a high school graduation of sorts, which this year is especially getting to me, anything about graduation. and i'm not even graduating. anyways, great flick! and the war scenes oddly reminded me of pearl harbor, great flick as well, not sure why.....and William Mosely, wonderful actor, have loved him since the first film!!!!*love*...LOL

And first cheer practice today, went great, 7 girls, 3,4,5th grade! sooo adorable too! although I wish the colors were blue and gold, not green and white. Love the Panthers!!!!!! The girls learned 4 cheers!

Waiting (im)patiently for my new cousin

My aunt is due tomorrow, but if she does not go into labor on her own, which she hasn't with her previous two, they are inducing on Sunday, but it would have been cool tomorrow because it is my uncles bday! they know the gender of the baby but are keeping it a secret, but my aunt told me if it is a girl the middle name will be Grace, and a boy, Anthony, because those are their middle names.....but the first name they decided, is obviously gender specific and would soooo give it away! I am thinking it is a girl but I am not sure;-) I am getting soooo excited, even though they live 2 hours away and I wont get to see him/her much. I can't wait!

Prayers Please

I just found out my group may not be able to go to DC if we do not get 15 more people, my youth leader is around @ high schools today during study halls to get people to come. Please pray Gods will be done and if at all possible my group is able to go!!!!

Novena to stop FOCA, from Dixi's blog

Please read the information below and join us in prayer and fasting January 11-19, 2009.

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) will be signed into law if Congress passes it on January 21-22, 2009. The FOCA is the next sick chapter in the book of abortion. If signed into law, all limitations on abortion will be lifted, resulting in the following:1) All hospitals, including Catholic hospitals, will be required to perform abortions upon request. If this happens, Bishops vow to close down all Catholic hospitals - more then 30% of all hospitals in the U.S.2) Partial birth abortions will be legal and have no limitations.3) All U.S. taxpayers will be funding abortions.4) Parental notification of abortions on minors will no longer be required (regardless of age).5) The estimated number of increase in abortions is 100,000 annually.Just as important, the government will now have control in the issue of abortion. This could result in a future amendment that would force women by law to have abortions in certain situations (rape, Down Syndrome babies, etc) and could even regulate how many children women are allowed to have.Needless to say this information is disturbing, but sadly true. As Catholics, as Christians, as anyone who is against the needless killing of innocent children, we must stand as one. We must stop this horrific act before it becomes a law.

PLEASE JOIN US IN saying a novena and fasting from January 11-19. For Catholics, the prayer of choice is the rosary for the special intention of stopping the FOCA. For non-Catholics we encourage you to pray your strongest prayers with the same intention for 9 consecutive days.

We hope and pray this will branch and blossom to become a global effort. Please do the following 3 things:1) Pass this information on quickly (so as many as possible can start praying on January 11)2) Say a novena from January 11-19, asking God to prevent the FOCA from becoming law in the U.S.3) Fast at least 2 days during this novena (either a complete fast of bread and water, or a Lenten fast of no meat and meals limited to 1regular meal and 2 lesser meals during the day).Remember that with God all things are possible and the power of prayer is undeniable.

"If every good Catholic girl became a nun, there would be no Christian mothers!"

What St Giannas priest told her. It is SOOOO true! I thought at one time it would be awesome to be a nun, and it would, but I feel called to be a mother in the vocation of marriage, and have a large family, and raise my children in the Faith. Without mothers to raise the children in the Faith, there would be no next generation of Catholics, Catholics who may also raise Catholic families or become a religious! Being a Catholic mother is going to be great;-)

morning!

back to school!!!! it went well!!!!

St. Gianna, from RosaryGirl

St. Gianna Beretta Molla

Gianna Beretta was born on October 4, 1922, near Milan, Italy. She grew up in a Christian home, and her parents carefully passed on to her their Catholic faith. As a teenager, she was active as a member of Catholic Action groups. When she was sixteen, she made up her mind that she would rather die than commit a mortal sin, and that she would do everything for Jesus.

Her parents' deaths, four months apart in 1942, were a heavy blow to Gianna, who was just beginning medical school at the University of Milan at that same time. After six semesters, she continued her preparation at the University of Pavia, where she earned a doctorate in medicine on November 30, 1949.

Gianna opened a clinic in 1950. She soon had many patients. In addition to her work as a physician, Gianna also devoted her time to community projects. She continued to be an active member of Catholic Action groups too. She organized talks and retreats, hikes and social events, and was very successful in reaching out to young people. Pietro Molla, a prosperous engineer, who belonged to one of the Catholic Action groups, was impressed with this dynamic young doctor who cared so much about others. Gianna had been planning to become a medical missionary sister in Brazil. Her brother was a priest there, and she knew he would be happy to have her help him. But once she got to know Pietro, Gianna wondered if it was God's will for her to marry him and start a family. After much prayer, she asked the advice of her confessor. The priest answered her, "If every good Catholic girl became a nun, there would be no Christian mothers!"

Pietro and Gianna were married on September 24, 1955. Gianna was 33. In 1956, their first child, Pierluigi was born. Mariolina was born in 1957, and Laura came along in 1959. After that, Gianna lost two more babies before they were born. But she became pregnant again in 1961. After two months, she started to experience pain, and a doctor found a tumor in her uterus. Before undergoing the necessary surgery, Gianna gave the doctors strict orders to keep her unborn child safe. The following April, just before the baby was to be born, Gianna told her doctor, "If you have to choose between my life and the baby's, I demand that you save the baby's life." As a doctor herself, Gianna was well aware of the risks she was facing, and she wanted her wishes known.

On April 21, Gianna had a healthy baby girl, who was baptized Gianna Emanuela. But Gianna was dying from complications in the delivery. She asked Pietro to take her home so she could die in her own room. There, on April 28, 1962, Doctor Gianna Beretta Molla died. Her daughter, Gianna Emanuela, who has been called the "living relic of her mother", followed in her mother's footsteps and became a doctor. On April 24, 1994, with understandable joy and pride, she was present at the beatification ceremony for her mother, who selflessly gave her own life so she could live. Gianna was named a saint 10 years later in 2004.

cool fact!!!

OK, so this is waaaay random, but I saw it on my MSN homepage.....

Who invented the football huddle?

The notion of huddling up in a tight circle for a pre-snap strategy session was conceived in 1894 by Paul Hubbard, football quarterback at Gallaudet University, the world's first university for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The impetus? To keep opposing players, especially those fluent in American Sign Language, from being tipped off to impending plays by Hubbard's hand signals.

Smart guy!!!!

hey all!

woo hoo....17 days til me and my youth group leave 4 DC 4 the Right to Life March!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kit Kittredge, an American Girl

This is the BEST American Girl movie to date! It was wonderful, and while not staying totally in line with the books, had a WONDERFUL plot line, and the story was as enjoyable for me as my 10year old sister. If you are familiar with the stories, you may agree with me....shouldn't Kit and Will be married someday? As with Ben and Felicity from the Felicity stories! I have a PERFECT plot for this Kit story "epilogue".....so it seems as though in the film Will is supposed to be around my age....15 or 16....and Kit is 10....SOOOO....when Kit is 18 in 1942, WWII will have just started....and the two of them get married, just before he is drafted.....and she is pregnant when he leaves and she has a baby while he is gone....they think he is MIA....and then he comes home after VE day!!! wouldnt that make a wonderful story? I should contact American Girl about writing epilogues for their books!!!

Abortion

How can it be legal? I subscribe to Brio, a teen Christian girls magazine, and there was a article this month about responses to arguments people may make about abortions....one answer I remember makes the most sense of all.....How can a mother kill her unborn child and it NOT be considered murder when in fact, a murderer who kills a mother and her unborn child is charged with TWO, count em TWO counts of murder, proving that the law does recognize unborn babies as people(and scientists even say they have their own DNA from moment of conception, different from their mothers!), except in the case of abortion. It just does NOT make any sense AT ALL. 18 days til the March for Life in Washington DC and I am totally excited to go for such a great cause!!! Like totally as in I have been counting down since I turned in my money in the beginning of December(the week after I got the paper;-) LOL) And now since my mom is coming it will be great, and some of her friends are also chaperoning so she is happy to be able to spend time with them too!!!!!!

XOXO for now!!!
