I am giving up buying scrapbook suppplies, and since i dont eat meat my extra friday sacrifice for each frieday will be no snacks. i am also gonna try to start exercising! and get back to reading my bible every day.
Tonight we learned about the Holy Trinity. We learned two fun Greek words, ousia, meaning nature, and hypostasis, meaning person. The Trinity is one ousia, three hypostasis. Chad was the speaker for the night, and he did a fabulous job. We played a fun 6-legged race (with three people, for the Trinity!). I was one of the volunteers for the race. It was really fun, and we had to hobble, jump, hop, etc. around the tables and at three separate points sing a song (I love you, you love me; I'm a little teapot; and Itsy bitsy spider). After a further in-depth lesson about the Trinity, we played a game of This or That to get into our small groups. In our small groups, we discussed our favorite Person in the Trinity, as well as the Person we have the hardest time understanding. When we were all back in the gym, we sang some Trinity-inspired songs and said a prayer to the People of the Trinity. Afterwards, we had a delicious dinner and some of us stayed around talking for a while before we went home. It was a wonderful life night!
Today my cousin will be baptized1 I am so excited to go and watch her become a member of God's family!!!!!! I do kinda wish I was the godmother, but thats OK. Haha. Well I have lifeteen tonight! yay!!!!!!
OK, so as far as I know....theres lots of depressed girls out there tonight without a date for valentines day. haha but ya know what? i have chosen to NOT be depressed today and make JESUS my date! yay me! so before I go to sleep tonight(other than taking a shower and trying to get my hair to dry so i can straighten it for the baptism tomorrow!) i am going to read my Bible(the Love Chapter, of course!)!!!!!! And take a few minutes to think about John 3:16. It is perhaps the most universally known verse in the entire Bible. If we just take a second to think about it, we realize that this is the greatest act of love to ever befall mankind. Contemplation, yes, is the hardest part of prayer....for anyone! Trying to not think of anything else....hard! But if you went to Steubie last summer....at least the ones in Steubenville....you will probably know what I am talking about. The Picture. You know the one. During Saturday nite Adoration. The picture of Jesus with big open arms on the blue and white background???? Thats the picture I always envision!!!!! So everybody, Happy Valentines Day!!!!! XOXO
OK, so if you havent seen the movie Here on Earth you must. And thisis kinda a spoiler, just so ya know. So this girl....she had cancer. Jasper loved Samantha, even though he KNEW she would die, because it was incurable. But she fell in love with a college boy, and he loved her, but then he found out she had cancer, and left. He did come back after realizing how much he did love her though, and spoke at her funeral. But before she died, Jasper(boyfriend who loved her more thananything) told Kelley(college guy) that Sam needed him (Kelley), and even though it hurt him so bad to see them together, he knew she loved Kelley, and that was what was best for her. Jasper loved Sam SO MUCH, that he let her love someone else. I want a love like that.
First Fridays are the first friday of the month, and many churches have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at these times. The churches try to organize it so there is always someone with Jesus, usually each person goes for an hour. Although it would have een easier to pray if my brother didnt ask me 20 times if we were leaving yet! i wish he would get more into church and all. Same with my sister.
when I asked for post ideas, I got this from "Anonymous"... I think it means; loving a person, giving your whole self to that person and asking for nothing in return. When the other person loved, knows why they are loved, they return that love with their whole heart.
Thanks Anonymous! That was very insightful;-) I like!!!!! Actually, I love!!!!!
I am 16, a seniorr, and 5 foot 4. I have dark blonde curly hair. I wear contacts but sometimes glasses. Catholic school is the best:) I love my school and playing in the BAND! I feel strongly called to the married life. However, before I get married, I hope to graduate from a Catholic college (like the University of Dayton!) with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Musical Theater. I love country music, and I have to say that Taylor Swift is amazing, I love You Belong With Me...it IS the story of my life. After graduation, I hope to get married to a wonderful Catholic man in my church, live in my hometown for the rest of my life, and have as many children as God sees fit (I would LOVE a large family!) and I hope to get a job as a kindergaten teacher at the Catholic school here. God Bless You! <3ACBTP<3
