IDK if any of you watched Threshold of Hope lastnight, but the little red-headed boy, Jacob, is one of my favorite boys on the planet! he is so sweet! his mom and my mom are good friends and in prayer group together. he is so sweet, and the EWTN trip was his Make a Wish trip. it was so cool he was on there!

lifeteen was great....we went through holy week! we had our Palm Sunday Mass, then for Life Night went thru Holy Tjhursday(Adoration), Good Friday(veneration), and Easter(a movie clip of a Ressurection scene)! it was really different, and cool! and then we had Living Stations practice....seriously, we need to get it together. But some funny things happened, inducing laughter. Actually lots of funny things. We are meeting @ 5 on Friday....so hopefully we get it together before 7!!!!!!!

I am posting it here too! for those of you who dont read the Princess Lessons blog;-)

Many people have the misconception the princesses only wear PINK, only date rich PRINCES, and always DRESS UP. I can prove this wrong. I don't like pink very much.....I don't care if a guy has money or not.....and I hate skirts and dresses! To be a princess, you just need to be a daughter of the King! the King accepts us all no matter if we wear pink dresses or dirt stained jeans and an old t-shirt. He loves us no matter if we marry rich or poor, though He does like us to marry for love....never for money (although, He doesnt care if the guy you marry is rich, He just hasnt designed that to be the REASON for marriage!) He doesnt care if you dress up....He loves the girls who come to church in dresses as much as the ones that show up in *holy* jeans.

til Good Friday. I hope everyone is going to their Good Friday services(NOT a Mass since there is Communion, but it is pre-consecrated). Also, I encourage you to attend a Stations of the Cross at least on Good Friday. For personal reasons, I was unable to go to any other Friday Stations this Lent, which makes me uber-sad;-( Maybe I can go tonight.....I will ask my mama!!!!!!! My lifeteen group is doing a Live Stations, which I am gonna be in, Good Friday evening. YAY!

the social night was way fun, they showed a slideshow with pix both me and one of the leaders took haha there were some hilarious ones in there;-)!!!! i enjoyed playing scissors and confusing the heck out of all my friends, while me marty heather john and patrick, who all know the game, laughed our heads off and tryed to confuse them more;-)!!! and then the travel game, which is SOOO confusing and noone will teach me!!!!!!!

the play was very good! i liked it alot, it was really cute. this is Musical Weekend here in my town...all the musicals are the same weekend, therefore i cant see them all and could only see the one from last night, i am babysitting tonight so i cant go to the one my other friend is in!!!!!!! basically, i picked the play with the most friends in it, because i felt less bad about it then!!!!!!

my brother has been on the hospital for a week! and my mom hasnt left him once. i feel so bad for him. he is going crazy! please pray he can come home soon!

Early earliness!

My sister and I are not going up to visit my brother todayy, we simply have too much going on, so my dad is going up after taking us girls to 7:30 Mass. Early! LOL. I wonder if anyone will even be there cuz of the time change haha if they forgot they will all be late! SPeaking of which, with the time change i only got 6 count em 6 hours of sleep same as like last night this is all gonna cathch up with me and i cant get sick!

I thank God so much right now for all the good care my brother is getting in St Vincents Mercy Medical Center. I LOVE Catholic hospitals! Yesterday, we had a priest up to his room in 5 minutes so he could have anointing of the sick. We had 2 sisters come visit and pray with us and give us Communion (they second time another one came back for when my brother was awake). One of our former priests from our parish made a special trip to the hospital the other day just to see my brother and Mom!

Soooo....

I am missing my Holy Hour todayy. I feel quite bad about it. But there is really nothing I can do to get there.....i cant drive after all. and you know what is awful? my mom was going to take me driving here in a month or so, and then wham! wrist surgery. i wont be able to drive until at least june. ugh!!!!!

So. my friend called me last night an on sunday at Lifeteen he needs help making a routine for cheer tryouts. Luckily, they gave him a cheer to set the routine too;-)


anywhos, my brothers headache is worse today, and they sent him in for an MRI

i know everyone knows by now about the missing boaters and the one that was found alive(thank God!) and the 3 still missing(the 2 football players and their friend). Last night they called off the search. According to the article, they combed over 24000 feet of water. I am praying to God that even though the chances are slim they will be found alive, that they do find their bodies to grant their families some sort of closure. Who knows, they were all strong men, and maybe they did make it to somewhere....like in Lost or something. I know I am being overly optimistic. But I really hope God can grace these families with some kind of closure, even if the men do not turn up alive.

i didnt put my clothes away sunday.....and my mom took away my phone til tomorrow. so i m ofeering it up as an extralenten sacrifice.....i get it back toorrow after i do school and then she sees how my room is. and then i can have it back if it is clean enough!!!!!!!!

yay! i was aksed to be in a play! i didnt even audition! soe of my friends are too. we are dancers. it is an irish dinner theater, so hopefully we get to wear the cute dresses and maybe the dances are clogging dances oooo so fun haha!

1 week til Lent

I am giving up buying scrapbook suppplies, and since i dont eat meat my extra friday sacrifice for each frieday will be no snacks. i am also gonna try to start exercising! and get back to reading my bible every day.

Tonight we learned about the Holy Trinity. We learned two fun Greek words, ousia, meaning nature, and hypostasis, meaning person. The Trinity is one ousia, three hypostasis. Chad was the speaker for the night, and he did a fabulous job. We played a fun 6-legged race (with three people, for the Trinity!). I was one of the volunteers for the race. It was really fun, and we had to hobble, jump, hop, etc. around the tables and at three separate points sing a song (I love you, you love me; I'm a little teapot; and Itsy bitsy spider). After a further in-depth lesson about the Trinity, we played a game of This or That to get into our small groups. In our small groups, we discussed our favorite Person in the Trinity, as well as the Person we have the hardest time understanding. When we were all back in the gym, we sang some Trinity-inspired songs and said a prayer to the People of the Trinity. Afterwards, we had a delicious dinner and some of us stayed around talking for a while before we went home. It was a wonderful life night!

Baptism!

Today my cousin will be baptized1 I am so excited to go and watch her become a member of God's family!!!!!! I do kinda wish I was the godmother, but thats OK. Haha. Well I have lifeteen tonight! yay!!!!!!

For God So Loved The World

OK, so as far as I know....theres lots of depressed girls out there tonight without a date for valentines day. haha but ya know what? i have chosen to NOT be depressed today and make JESUS my date! yay me! so before I go to sleep tonight(other than taking a shower and trying to get my hair to dry so i can straighten it for the baptism tomorrow!) i am going to read my Bible(the Love Chapter, of course!)!!!!!! And take a few minutes to think about John 3:16. It is perhaps the most universally known verse in the entire Bible. If we just take a second to think about it, we realize that this is the greatest act of love to ever befall mankind. Contemplation, yes, is the hardest part of prayer....for anyone! Trying to not think of anything else....hard! But if you went to Steubie last summer....at least the ones in Steubenville....you will probably know what I am talking about. The Picture. You know the one. During Saturday nite Adoration. The picture of Jesus with big open arms on the blue and white background???? Thats the picture I always envision!!!!! So everybody, Happy Valentines Day!!!!! XOXO
